Iceland and me...and YOU!
As many of you may know, if you've been following my IG (@gillian.pokalo.art) you've seen I've moved to Iceland until early December of 2022, to spend time developing my art inspired by this gorgeous place, focusing on documenting the abandoned farmhouses and flora, and the way each region of this country is unique.
Usually you'll find me at art markets around the Philadelphia area in the fall and spring, but this season I'll be here, and I still want to be able to get my work into your hands and am grateful for your support!
So without further ado, I welcome you to:
Print of One Month
Do you want a print mailed from Iceland, with Icelandic postage and everything? Your print, yet to be made, will be either a linocut or a screen print, hand-made by me in Akureyri, Keflavik, or Stöðvarfjörður, Iceland. Depending on which month your order comes in, I'll be mailing you a 4"x6" print in an envelope, signed and editioned and made in a small batch. Who says you don't deserve fun mail once in a while?
Upgrade to the Print of the Month Club if you want four months of mail. This is for one print only, and thank you for your support!
Print of the Month Club: A Duet of Prints from October and November
Get an original, limited edition, signed and numbered print in the mail, from me in Iceland! You'll get 2 months of original prints sized to about 4"x6". Each print will be at least a $30 value. Your piece will come in an envelope for protection and I'll mail your print with Icelandic postage and everything, from:
Also, you'll get a free print once I get back to the US! You are directly supporting my work here and I'm so grateful. I'll add you to my holiday card mailing list, and a print will come to you in December, but will be mailed from the US.
Note: Each month I'll be printing a new edition, so you'll see what you get when you get it!

Printmaking is Magic.
It really is. There's nothing like pulling that first print after going through the effort of carving a block or burning a silkscreen.
I hold a PA Art K-12 teaching certificate and have over 15 years of experience teaching in schools and conducting workshops for community groups, art centers, international organizations, and much more.
Are you ready to explore your creative side? Have you taken a lot of art classes but you're looking for something new? Let me share the magic of printmaking with you!
My online course offerings for this season can be found here, but if you're looking for a custom workshop designed around your needs, please contact me to start a conversation today!
